Hidden Treasures of Longos: Discovering My 12 Favorite People & Businesses

As a proud Longos native, I am thrilled to share my personal insights on the real people, places, and things that make our vibrant community “The Best”.

If you don’t already know me, I am Aaron De Guzman, and when Longos Lifestyle Magazine approached me, searching for an authentic, connected individual who could bring Longos to life, I was honored –and, I said “Hell, yeah!” and gladly accepted the challenge.

I love a growth opportunity, especially when it can help my community!

After all, who better to showcase the essence of Longos than your favorite 6-foot, moreno, local basketball star playing forward position for ‘The Mighty’ Poblacion Team reppin’ Kilos Longos Summer Basketball League?

Longos Lifestyle Magazine, brought to you by The Philippines Magazine International, wanted someone who could navigate the streets of Longos with ease, someone who could uncover the hidden gems and help create galing content about our unique Longos lifestyle.

That someone turned out to be me, Aaron De Guzman, ready to bring you a taste of what Longos has to offer through “Aaron De Guzman’s Longos Favorite People, Places & Things.”

The heart and soul of Longos lie in its people, the warm smiles that greet you as you wander through our bustling streets. That’s why we plan to showcase not just ten, but a whopping 500 individuals, businesses, and establishments in the magazine.

Consider this article just a teaser, a glimpse into the authentic Longos experience that awaits you.

I take immense pride in ensuring that each of these favorites receives a FREE Longos Lifestyle Magazine Lifestyle Directory Listing, worth P1,000 (that’s $25), as a testament to my love for my Longos barangay neighborhood.

In the wake of the COVID-19 lockdowns, I often wondered if our Longos community would ever bounce back to its former glory, the games, the fiestas, the sheer joy that fills the air.

Being able to contribute to our barangay fam both on and now, off the court fills me with immense pride.

Not only will these Longos favorites receive FREE listings worth P1,000, but up to 500 other Longos-based businesses will also receive FREE advertising from me. That’s a staggering value of up to P500,000 (around $10,000) in FREE local, nationwide, and global advertising to help our beloved Longos barangay neighborhood bounce back stronger than ever.

Now, let’s dive into my ten favorite people and businesses in Longos, each of them known for their outstanding customer service, friendly demeanor, and commitment to excellence:

A store I frequent provides top-notch service and a wide range of products.

4. Alfa Barbershop

Conveniently located just steps away from my crib, and right in front of ‘The Longos Court’ it is my go-to barbershop for a fresh haircut. FYI…Did you know, that when Kareem Jackson does not have his stylist here at “The Studio” he goes to Alpha Barbershop? And, he’s been going there for over 2-years, even before Alpha was located in Longos! SO IF YOU’RE A BLACK IMPORT Alpha Barbershop is proven to give that black fade and that tight beard shave also! Just as Kareem Jackson!

5. Fountain Bless Water Station

This water station serves as our trusted source of fresh drinking water for our daily needs, we even have them here at “The Studio”. So if that ice water, juice, and/or coffee taste great, it’s because it’s Fountain Bless Water!

6. Bernardo’s Store School Supplies Xerox/Laminate

A one-stop shop for school supplies, photocopying, and laminating services.

7. Gigi’s Store

A late-night shopping destination for me, offering a great selection of products.

8. Regasco Authorized Dealer

This is our go to for home gas and refills. As our primary supplier of gas tanks, always reliable and efficient. Just give them a call: 0955.117.8331

9. Upstream Blue Fresh Drinking Water

Whenever we need a large quantity of fresh drinking water, this is where we turn.

10. Papa Gerry’s Barber Shop + Salon

If Alfa Barbershop happens to be closed, this is where I trust my hair to be styled.

11. Edgar Pinlac 2nd Hand Coco Lumber

Our go-to source for coco lumber, fulfilling our construction and woodworking needs.

12. Lugawan ni Glecy

A breakfast haven offering mouthwatering and affordable Filipino dishes that are the perfect way to start your day. Whether you crave a steaming bowl of hearty lugaw (rice porridge) topped with flavorful garnishes or prefer a delectable serving of silog (fried rice with your choice of protein), this charming establishment never fails to deliver a satisfying breakfast experience.

Thanks for being here ‘til the end…I have a bonus for you!

But my list doesn’t end here. I must also mention two more which play a significant role in shaping Longos and making it the thriving community it is today:

Poblacion

The team I proudly represent in the Longos basketball league. The spirit of competition and camaraderie that flows through our veins on the court is unmatched, and the games we play bring our community together, fostering a sense of unity and pride.

Miel Agustin

The SK Chairman of Longos, Malolos, Bulacan. Miel’s dedication to serving our barangay and her tireless efforts in promoting community engagement is truly inspiring. She plays a vital role in bridging the gap between the local government and the residents of Longos, ensuring that our voices are heard and our needs are met. In addition, without her efforts, many of us would not have had a uniform or the opportunity to participate in the games. Thank you SK Miel!

Welcome to the neighborhood!

So, if you ever find yourself in Longos or passing through, seeking reliable businesses that provide exceptional service, I highly recommend these establishments.

They are the epitome of the real Longos experience, where genuine connections are made, and unforgettable memories are forged.

Stay tuned for more exciting features in Longos Lifestyle Magazine, where we will continue to celebrate the diverse tapestry of our beloved community, one story at a time.
