WOW! We went undercover and dined at the new Tandang Sora Branch, no one knew us, we paid for our own meals and beverages on three (3) different occasions. The 3rd we used it as a remote-office and held a meeting there.

Pizza Republic is an awesome concept and a wonderful fusion of amazing, popular Filipino dishes, some seafood, quality pizza, and cold beer! The restaurant is a great place for locals and foreigners alike; foreigners will enjoy the professionalism, service and being able to order a cold beer for lunch.

“Thank you Pizza Republic! It’s about time there was a nice, tasty, professional, competitively priced place in the area. We can drop by easily from our radio, TV and publisher studios located in the area. Thanks!”

I ordered the chicken wings, sizzling chicken, French fries, and San Mig Apple Beer. All was great, the service was charming and fast. Although, if you sit in the back where we did, you will need to yell for service since the wait staff seem to stay near the front and can’t see the nearly 20-cozy, secluded, more-popular seats in the rear.

The services standards were refreshing and noticeably Western-style. Upon entering, the fully-uniformed back and front-of-the-house staff opened the door and greeted “Hello Po…welcome to Pizza Republic!” which was very nice. I sat myself, in the rear, I noticed ample electrical outlets and seating, which is ideal for a lunch-time, working-meeting, or a remote office -as I like to have.

The menus are nice, with pictures, prices and are sitting on the tables, which are set-up, with condiments and napkins –even hot sauce! The waitress, brought a cold glass of water, and another laminated menu, and offered me the Wi-Fi password! Nice!

The beer came cold and with a glass, with ice, later I was brought a small bucket of ice as well; as they saw I would have a few.

For my appetizers, I had French fries (just P70) and Spicy Buffalo Wings (just P155, though I’d recommend them adding salads to the menu).

The fries were a nice amount, golden and crispy, with dipping sauce…I added hot sauce. Then, came my favorite, the chicken wings! It was four pieces (2 full-pieces cut in half), also with dipping sauce, they were juicy, well-cooked all the way through, and medium-sized, so I was happy.

I am a chicken (and seafood) lover, so for my main meal, I enjoyed the Sizzling Chicken (P129), which comes on a hot plate, with rice, a side, drizzled with a creamy mushroom sauce.

In addition, my guests ordered a regular Hawaiian Pizza (P168) and Topsilog dish (P80). The pizza, is noticeably their special signature crust; which was tasty, and I enjoyed every inch of it. Worth mentioning, is their pizza table service, which includes a big knife and delivered in a traditional Filipino wooden box. It was a nice touch. The Topsilog was fresh! All is made to order, and the ingredients are fresh.

They have seemingly fabulous Kilawing Tuna (P245) and a Rootbeer Float (P28) lang! I will try that next time.

REVIEW: WE ENDORSE AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND PIZZA REPUBLIC FOR DINNING AND QUALITY PRODUCTS. [Pictures viaFacebook]
